Job Title: Painter, 1st Shift

Location: South Chesterfield, VA

What we are looking for:

This position is responsible for using a paint gun to paint / powder coat refrigerated display case parts on a suspended conveyor.

What you will be responsible for in this role:

* Read and understand work orders and paint schedules; differentiate between colors.
* Test and adjust equipment prior to parts arriving at paint booth.
* Preform preventative maintenance on powder booth, spray parts, etc.
* Preform preventative maintenance of washer system as required.
* Utilize a paint gun to paint / powder coat refrigerated display case parts on a suspended conveyor.
* Adjust line speed to correspond with parts being painted.
* Perform color changes following established procedures and time limits.
* Inspect completed parts exiting the paint booth for defects and notify lead/supervisor as required.
* Utilize a tape measure, reading to the nearest 1/16
* Maintain work area in clean, safe and organized manner

What are the basic qualifications?

* HS Diploma/GED.
* Three months experience utilizing a paint gun in an industrial or commercial environment.

What are the preferred qualifications?

* Previous experience in a manufacturing painting position is preferred.
* Will be required to complete Hillphoenix paint certification.

Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements

* May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting or kneeling.
* Will be required to hold up a paint gun and stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
* Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs).
* Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
