In this role, you will be an integral part of the Optum Talent Analytics & Reporting team and report to the Senior Director of Optum Talent Analytics & Reporting. You will be a leader on the team and serve as a mentor and subject manager expert to other team members. You will partner across the matrixed Analytics Center of Excellence / community to lead complex projects and direct challenging work that will make meaningful contributions to deliver upon the human capital strategy supporting Optum's growth agenda.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Serve as a team mentor and influence without authority
* Utilize internal and external data to identify opportunities to improve business performance
* Simplify complex data into actionable insights
* Discover and communicate meaningful patterns in data and provide context, insights and analytics
* Proactive engagement with human capital leaders to track and improve employee-related metrics to measure the return on HC investments
* Collaborate with senior leadership, Organizational Design & Talent Development professionals, and stakeholders in the Talent Analytics community to inform solutions designed for lines of business and human capital strategy
* Interpret the results of data analyses and develop appropriate conclusions and recommendations to help guide people strategy and decision-making.
* Compile presentations to effectively synthesize and communicate results and implications of data findings and trends

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* 10+ years of experience using conceptual data analytics to formulate hypotheses, determine assumptions to test, and interpret data / results
* 10+ years of work experience analyzing and interpreting data to provide insights
* 10+ years of consulting experience with customers and influencing leaders
* Expert in dashboard development
* Strong data acumen, including the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and points requiring additional investigation
* Ability to transform raw data sets into themes and action plans
* Expert skills in Microsoft Excel
* You will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's US Telecommuting Policy.
