What We're Looking For

This is an exciting time to join HNTB in our Indianapolis office. HNTB partners with our clients on Indiana's highest profile transportation projects and programs. We are looking for a public communications rep to help create and disseminate information regarding these efforts.

Primary Focus Will Include:

Prepare and coordinate dissemination of materials and information about transportation projects and programs to external agencies, associations, and news organizations using print, periodicals, websites, radio, and visual communication media.

Prepare reports related to public involvement meetings and public hearings.

Help coordinate outreach meetings including scheduling, determining location, setting up, and ensuring proper materials are present.

Interact with clients to coordinate implementation of communication programs.

Create and design presentation materials and compose correspondence for use in mailings and meetings.

Perform other duties related to public communications as needed.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

6 years relevant experience.

Experience with virtual meeting platforms.

Graphic design skills, including experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.

Ability to review and provide comments on documents prepared for the public.

Prepares and coordinates dissemination of community relations materials, facts and information about workforce development to external agencies, associations, and news organizations using print, periodicals, radio and/or visual communication media.

Completes routine records and reports related to public involvement meetings and public hearings.

Helps coordinate community meetings including scheduling, determining location, and ensuring proper setup and materials are present.

May interact with clients to coordinate implementation of communication programs.

Drafts speeches, creates and designs presentation materials, and/or composes correspondence for use in mailings and/or meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism or relevant field

4 years of relevant experience
