This resource is responsible for handling a variety of Salvage claims to conclusion within established range of authority. Work involves independent judgment with minimal direct supervision: moving vehicles to salvage auctions, processing title documents to transfer ownership, locating vehicle recoveries and arranging pick up of vehicles, broker charges with tow yards and impound lots, establishing vehicle values, handle the sale of catastrophe salvage, processing of funds and expense allocation and controlling expenses.

Job Responsibilities

* Partner with adjuster, owner, and/or our vendor to collect vital documentation and ensure an accurate and timely recovery process
* Handle initial set up of Salvage claim file and resolve a plan of action to perfect recovery.
* Track, supervise and facilitate salvage recovery through diaries and salvage reports
* Control costs.
* Investigate and maintain a complete and thoroughly detailed claim file.
* Consistently makes timely and courteous contact with every claim customer
* Maintains and updates a diary/schedule for each claim in the adjusters pending
* Responds to claim correspondence in a timely fashion with very high quality
* Provides input for continuous development of claims guidelines and standard methodologies
* Handle total loss paperwork; process titles in accordance with various state guidelines and timetables for total loss vehicles
* Act as an asset to claims adjusters by answering questions regarding state salvage and title laws and assist in locating salvage vendors
* Handle high profile files that may involve interacting with management, legal counsel, or other legal entities.

Qualifications

* HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate / Bachelor's degree in business related field preferred.
* Currently licensed in home state if state required is preferred
* Ability to acquire and maintain insurance licenses in states (including Texas) within three months
* 2 + years in insurance industry is needed with a background in salvage preferred.
* Perform tasks required to support ongoing business operations
* Skilled technician in a hands-on environment, often highly specialized.
* Typically requires sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
