WHAT YOULL DO

The Software Quality Assurance Lead is a QA professional who contributes his/her expertise and practice of quality assurance along with manual and automated testing to high performing Agile teams. The QA Lead provides the day-to-day support to the QA team, which includes, but is not limited to business knowledge, technical skills, automation & testing methodologies. Additionally, this position will provide task direction, when applicable, as well as feedback and coaching to QA team members. The QA Lead is a leader for both quality control (testing) and quality assurance (process and prevention). This position is also expected to understand and exhibit the importance of adhering to regulations (i.e. SOX, FDA, HIPAA, PCI, etc.) and is responsible for contributing to regulatory compliance.

If hired, you will also be expected to cultivate, grow, and maintain core principals including, but not limited to, continuous improvement, self-organization, adaptive planning, and value driven development, using methodologies and frameworks such as LEAN, SCRUM, and KANBAN.

* Apply broad application of industry standards, principles, theories and concepts involving quality and testing
* Identify process gaps and write procedures in line with best practices
* Establish successful working and support relationships with cross functional leaders and staff as well as third party vendors and clients/customers
* Express technical concepts and procedures clearly, precisely, and in an easy to understand manner, verbally and in writing
* Perform peer reviews of test cases and assist in performing internal QA audits of project documentation
* Mentor, coach, and train others within the organization in proper testing methods and processes, as well as business and client processes
* Collaborate with QA Manager on QA Strategy, including Automation Strategy
* Research and analyze potential tools for QA Team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRING

Required:

* Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience is required.
* Demonstrated strong hands-on QA experience with web applications, services and APIs preferably developed using SQL Server, Windows Server, Visual Studio .NET, ASP.NET, HTML/CSS/JS, jQuery, React, Angular, C.
* 2+ years of database testing with the ability to read, write, and execute complex SQL queries.
* Typically, 2+ years with automation testing using tools and frameworks like NUnit, Katalon, UFT, or Selenium
* 2+ years of testing web services, web APIs, Authentication, and web server configuration
* Typically, 4+ years mentoring experience
* Typically, 2+ years coordinating test activities among multiple testers.
* 2+ years leading a testing project including responsibility for all test planning and reporting activities.
* Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Preferred:

* Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar source code and project management suite is preferred.
* Certification by an industry-recognized testing and quality assurance entity is a requirement for this position. If a certification has not already been obtained, one must be obtained within three (3) years of starting the position. Examples of accepted certifications are: ISTQB: Certified Tester-Foundation Level or equivalent.
