The Entrance Screener is a 20 hours per week position and is primarily responsible for screening all patients, visitors, vendors and asking medical screening questions, asking for the purpose of their visit and then directing the patient and/or visitor to the appropriate area. This position reports to the Supervisor and Director of Patient Access Department.

REQUIREMENTS:

* High School Diploma or GED
* Customer Service Skills
* Great Communication Skills
* Prior Hospital experience preferred
* Well organized
* Computer Skills

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES

1. Responsible for working the main entrance to the Hospital
2. Greeting, screening, and directing patients and visitor to their desired area
3. Ability to assess the immediate need of the patient or visitor and provide direction accordingly
4. Cross-training on other departmental functions as time allows
5. Greet patients and visitors with a positive and friendly demeanor
6. Screening to develop the information needed to make informed decisions
7. Other duties as assigned
