The Division Operations Department has an opening for a Lean Operations Analyst. This position is located in Pleasanton, California and may require travel within US as needed to meet business needs.

Position Purpose

In this role you will be responsible for helping increase efficiency, productivity and growth to Albertsons Companies eCommerce Division Operations utilizing data metrics and working with the Retail Division Operations team. The role will help reduce waste and provide data solutions and insights to implement lean operations and culture in our eCommerce operations. Data analysis and metrics management is at the center of all decisions made to deploy the Albertsons Companies eCommerce initiatives.

An ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, time management and prioritization skills. They will contribute right away and have a healthy mix of long-term projects, short-term projects, ad-hoc tasks, and quick-turn requests. They have good presentation skills with the ability to simplify and summarize work and are reliable when it comes to meeting deadlines. And above all, they will be obsessed with delivering the best possible customer experience in every order, every day.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Identifying business needs and recommending/implementing analysis designs and analytics to develop solutions to business issues. Handling creation, manipulation and extraction of data that is relevant for analytical and operational needs.
* Creating dashboards and recurring reports that highlight key business indicators, specific to fulfillment productivity and customer experience.
* Designing and executing processes to manage and improve division operations strategies. Streamlining and automating existing fulfillment processes.
* Utilizing knowledge and experience in Excel, VBA, Access, database query tools, data warehouse architecture and SQL to solve business problems and drive business success.
* Leading projects and analyses that involve complex analytics to solve a variety of business issues that may have cross-functional impact.
* Developing and maintaining presentation material based on your work with the Division Operation teams. Presenting key findings and making recommendations based on data and communicating business performance in a clear and insightful way to the business to facilitate timely and informed decision making.
* Taking the lead on ad hoc analytics requests as they come in from various stakeholders. Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses to support strategic projects and initiatives.
* Interfacing with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to set expectations and satisfy business needs.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred (Engineering, Supply Chain, Statistics, Operations Research), but will consider other disciplines or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years working experience in data analysis, dashboard creation and business recommendations based on data findings.
* Expertise and proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, and SQL required.
* Proficient in modeling, data manipulation tools, and relational databases.
* Experience with Data Visualization tools strongly preferred. (Power BI, Snowflake database or a similar tools)
* Demonstrated success in delivering best-in-class customer experience through data and analytics, especially for field operations management use.
* Excellent analytical skills and experience.
* Experience in eCommerce and/or brick-and-mortar retail, distribution, fulfillment, or other related operations is a plus.
* Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
* Excellent project management and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with emphasis on attention to details. Experienced with identifying and managing action items across multiple projects
* Strong interpersonal and team interaction skills. Highly collaborative. Excellent communications skills with respect to translating business needs into a data analysis approach and translating analysis results back into business terms. Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate findings and provide actionable opportunities.
* High degree of initiative and a result-oriented approach, comfort with ambiguity and ability to work efficiently within deadlines.
* Some travel required, 10% of time (post-COVID).

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho.
