BASIC PURPOSE:
Under limited supervision, complete assigned accounting duties including daily/weekly/monthly reporting, account reconciliations, yield input/ cost analysis, financial analysis, month end close, and other duties as assigned by Finance Manager.
Key responsibilities:
Work closely with division and other personnel throughout the Organization on issues related to assigned tasks/account reconciliations.
Develop and maintain databases to support and facilitate accounting and reconciliation activities; including yield analysis and costing.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts. Investigate and resolve variances within deadlines.
Compile and/or post journal entries in support of period end close activities for division and corporate office.
Provide functional advice or training to less-experienced accountant positions.
Complete assigned analysis and reports within deadlines.
Compile and provide audit support as requested by internal and external auditors.
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
Assist with special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training: Bachelor degree in accounting, business management or finance required. CPA Preferred
Related Experience: Five or more years general ledger accounting with strong financial analysis experience required. Cost Accounting experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Experience with complex balance sheet reconciliation is required. Must have a solid background and broad knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures for the completion of recurring and complex tasks/assignments. Work with minimum supervision, conferring with manager or others on more complex matters.
