This person will be responsible for performing calibrations, Nondestructive Inspections and evaluations for acceptance or rejection in accordance with the procedure or instructions to help meet Quality and Production goals and record inspection results.
What you'll do:
Set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications
Use automated and manual techniques including ultrasound and radiography to perform non-destructive tests to identify errors or defects in product
May be responsible for testing engines or other mechanical components
Lead and guide on-the-job training of NDT Trainees and Level I Technicians
Maintain and completes all required records
Follow all safety rules and practices
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
Overtime may be required in order to meet production goal
What you'll need:
Level II certification at a minimum in these 3 NDT methods; Liquid Penetrant (PT), Visual Testing (VT) and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT.)
Familiarity with the scope and limitations of the NDT methods being utilized
Must provide level II certifications and current NDT work hour log
Knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment
Strong interpersonal skills
