Summary:
Supports Business Management, Operation, Quality leadership and Finance teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. Adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. Has strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. Has a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. Has a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Essential Functions:
* Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
* Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
* Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
* Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
* Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
* Develop testing framework and test model quality.
* Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
* Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
Education:
* Bachelors degree in IT, Data Science or related field
Experience:
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence
Equivalency:
* Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Competencies:
* Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
* Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
* Minimum of 3 to 5 relevant project experience and engagements, full implementation cycle, support
* Excellent knowledge with data sources for SAP BusinessObjects, usage of universes, SAP HANA views, Bex or BW queries, local data sources
* Familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
* Experience using Amazon web services.
* Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers: Changepoint,Smartsheet,Maximo etc
* Experience working with and creating data architectures.
* Basic Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
* A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pound pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
