BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position will be responsible for working with users in full life-cycle software development, including gathering requirements, designing solutions, developing full-stack applications, and supporting those applications in production. This position will also be responsible for establishing relationships and collaborating with individuals both inside IT and across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent degree and a minimum of 1 year of programming experience in a business setting OR a high school diploma and 5 years of the aforementioned software development experience.
2. Experience developing in an object-oriented language
3. Experience developing in SQL on relational databases
4. Experience developing client and server side web applications

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of languages and/or technologies in our stack: C, .NET, PHP, SQL, JSON, XML, web UI (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), SOA, web services, mobile, Windows server, IIS, SQL Server, SharePoint, and DB2/400
2. Proven understanding of software engineering practices, OO design patterns, architecture, and automated testing
3. Project management experience
4. Customer support or helpdesk experience
5. Manufacturing-related IT experience, with a preference for process-related industries similar to the steel environment
6. Experience with single-page application frameworks such as Ember and Angular
7. Experience with Azure or AWS
8. Experience using source control tools such as Git and SVN

This segment sells its ferrous scrap to electric arc furnace steel mills and foundries for manufacturing process; and nonferrous scrap metal to aluminum can producers, secondary aluminum smelters, steel mills and other processors, and consumers of various nonferrous metals.
