Job Description:
The Senior Metrics Analyst will be part of a team responsible for supporting the KPI and Metrics needs of the Dow Jones Global Finance Operations (GFO) group. This position will be responsible for ensuring excellence in the planning and execution of the Professional Information Business (PIB) Price Increase Program while enforcing set policies and commercial strategies. To be successful, the Senior Metrics Analyst must be able to work effectively across all levels of the organization and perform value-based analysis, lead cross functional projects, and make recommendations to management regarding improvements to existing processes.
You Will:
* Assume lead role in the PIB Price Increase Program including the planning, coordination and execution of all price increase operations and reporting
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly standard GFO reports and analysis
* Assist the team with analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the various GFO departments
* Build and maintain forecasting models for billing based off revenue projections
* Coordinate use of best tools for capturing data and reporting
* Prepare Ad Hoc and special reports
* Contribute to the success of the collaborative culture of the Dow Jones Finance Department
You Have:
* Strong analytical skills to derive insight and action from multiple data sources and tools such as Salesforce.com, SAP S/4HANA and internal databases.
* Experience in maintaining records and preparing internal reports as well as strong financial modeling skills.
* Ability to recognize problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions and define/suggest resolution
* Proficiency with Google Product Suite and MS Office Suite; advanced Excel skill is a must
* Demonstrated ability to think strategically and get to the story behind the numbers
* Excellent business judgment and the ability to work independently yet know where to/how to get necessary information required to complete tasks; know where to/how to ensure data ties and makes sense.
* Strong sense of personal ownership and ability to get things done.
* Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
* Ability to demonstrate initiative, good written and verbal communication skills as well as a team player.
* Four-year college degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business area with 2+ years of related experience
