About the Role
As a coordinator on the marketing recruiting team, you will support the recruiting team through the full-cycle recruiting process and report to our Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition. The New York Times is growing our digital teams and we have aggressive hiring goals. You’ll coordinate interviews and ensure a positive and welcoming candidate experience.
You will:
Schedule a high volume of interviews, many of them complex and a lot of moving pieces
Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) through Workday to ensure candidate records are complete and that the recruitment process is fairly and accurately tracked
Manage the post-hiring administration process for new employees, including initiating background checks and inputting I9 information
Help us maintain its commitment to a diverse and inclusive hiring process
Overall, provide the best experience to internal and external partners
What we are looking for:
Minimum 1+ years of HR/Recruitment experience
Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to provide an exceptional candidate experience
Excellent organization and the ability to manage a high volume of work
A background in a client-facing role
Proficiency in Google Suite or something comparable
Experience working within an HRIS tool is a plus (Workday is preferred)

Nicknamed "The Gray Lady", the Times has long been regarded within the industry as a national "newspaper of record". The paper's motto, "All the News That's Fit to Print", appears in the upper left-hand corner of the front page.
Since the mid-1970s, The New York Times has greatly expanded its layout and organization, adding special weekly sections on various topics supplementing the regular news, editorials, sports, and features. Since 2008, the Times has been organized into the following sections: News, Editorials/Opinions-Columns/Op-Ed, New York (metropolitan), Business, Sports of The Times, Arts, Science, Styles, Home, Travel, and other features. On Sunday, the Times is supplemented by the Sunday Review (formerly the Week in Review), The New York Times Book Review, The New York Times Magazine and T: The New York Times Style Magazine. The Times stayed with the broadsheet full-page set-up and an eight-column format for several years after most papers switched to six, and was one of the last newspapers to adopt color photography, especially on the front page.
