The Springfield, Oregon paper mill has openings for the position of Mechanic with pipefitter skills. Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years status as a pipefitter with other industrial maintenance mechanic skills. Preferred skills include piping layout, mechanical layout, mechanical troubleshooting, repair and fabrication, machine alignment and hydraulics. We are looking for motivated individuals who can function in a flexible, fast paced production environment. Our workplace requires individuals with a focus on safety.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Three years status of millwright or pipefitter
Basic computer skills
Able to function in a team environment
PLUS: Must be willingly to meet the following requirements:
Pre-employment background check, drug screen, entrance test and board interview.
Submit to random drug screens as a condition of employment.
Work any shift and/or rotating shift schedule and overtime as required.
Wear required personal protective equipment.
Operate or work in industrial conditions (i.e. warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise heavy machinery or elevated surfaces with proper safety training and safety protection).
