Technical – Application & Analytics Developer
Employees in a Technical role will design, develop and maintain the business software used at Valero. Assignments range from collaborating with business teams and I/S team members on major projects to working independently enhancing the value of existing solutions. Application and Analytics Developers technically enable innovative business solutions that solve the real world challenges Valero faces.
Development platforms include the following:
Application & Web Development: ABAP, UI5 (HTML5 & JavaScript), .NET
Data Analytics & Reporting: Microsoft PowerBI, SAP HANA, SAP BW
Databases: SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle
Portal: Microsoft SharePoint
These positions are best suited for students working towards a Computer Science or Management Information Systems degree. Knowledge of (or a willingness to learn) object-oriented programming, database platforms and SQL is key to success in this role.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or have obtained a bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science (CS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field required.
Graduation dates no later than May 2022 required.
Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale preferred.
