Position Brand Description:

Provides technical support to achieve the reliable and compliant manufacture of bulk drug substance to predetermined global quality standards via design and execution of laboratory experiments and development of process models.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Understand the scientific principles required for manufacturing intermediates and bulk drug substances, including the interaction of the chemistry and equipment.
Provide technical support to non-routine (e.g., deviation) investigations including evaluating materials from production in laboratory analysis to ensure no impact to Product Quality.
Participate in development and implementation of process improvement, including capital expansions and technical projects.
Work within cross-functional teams in a positive fashion to implement TS/MS objectives and deliver on business plan and quality objectives.

Basic Requirements:

High-quality skills to include: Teamwork and interpersonal, technical knowledge, decision making, multi-tasking, ability to influence groups, and communication skills, computer skills, statistical analysis, and problem solving.

Additional Preferences:

Additional relevant industrial experience in any of the following associated disciplines such as Protein Manufacturing, Development, and Quality Control is desirable.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s required or equivalent in scientific disciplines, of Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry, Biophysical Chemistry, Bioanalytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, or Engineering.

Other Information:

Must complete Learning Plan for Scientist – TS/MS – IAPI.
No certifications required.
Tasks require entering manufacturing areas which require wearing appropriate PPE.
