Job Description

Savannah River Remediation (SRR) is seeking an Administrative Assistant - Coordinator to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS). 

The Administrative Assistant - Coordinator under general supervision, provides a variety of clerical and administrative support to SRR’s Waste Disposal Authority (WDA) organization responsible for regulatory interactions and document preparation associated with waste tank closures and disposal of salt waste in the Saltstone Disposal Facility.  WDA includes ~ 16 people and four managers.

Provide administrative support in preparation of regulatory documents
Prepare final regulatory document deliverable packages (paper and electronic files) including printing, assembly and distribution
Maintain WDA computers/office equipment including copiers, printers and plotters, and the inventory of office and equipment supplies
Maintain electronic mail/calendars for multiple managers and general office management support for the WDA staff
Compile and issue routine WDA status report, and draft letter and email transmittals for management issuance
Develop basic graphics, spreadsheets, etc. to support WDA day-to-day work
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university?;

        OR

High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of professional, administrative, secretarial or clerical experience related to the position’s responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

Associate Degree in Business, Communications or English with 3 or more years' experience in administrative support, office management and/or document development/configuration control
High School diploma and at least 5 years of experience in administrative support, office management and/or document development/configuration control. 
Interpersonal skills including the ability to work with all levels within the organization
Communication skills to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
Ability to work as a team member
Knowledge of personal computers and applications included in MS Office Suite, IBM Notes, Deltek Time and Expense, etc.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Solid time management skills
Recent SRS experience (within last two years) is also desired
