Find your future with us.The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Space and Launch Division, isseeking a Ground Infrastructure Systems Engineer (Level 3) to joinour team in Aurora, CO. The Boeing Space and Launch Divisions Northern Lights program performs Operations and Maintenance for proprietary customers. Our team works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
Position Overview

The Ground Infrastructure Systems Engineer will be a part of a high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity projects. As a member of our team, you will be involved in the entire hardware lifecycle from procurement through system build up and delivery to operations. This position will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to learn from others on our team, and to collaborate with other contractor and government personnel in the building.

Position Responsibilities

* Provide daily system checks
* Define hardware requirements for obsolete program equipment
* Procure, stage, and install new hardware systems into operations
* Update Linux systems as needed to meet program requirements
* Support program members with hardware and Linux operating system issuesThis position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

* Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
* Willingness to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis to include weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

* Current CI Polygraph
* Experience with systems engineering principles
* Hardware engineering experience including troubleshooting, coordinating repair with vendors, installation and checkout
* Redhat Linux system administration experience

Typical Education/Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
