Sales Application Engineer - Medium Voltage Drives

Siemens, a global powerhouse in electrical and electronic engineering is searching for a Sales Application Engineer to provide quotation support and development for all offers of Medium Voltage Drives.
The Sales Application Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end completion of high quality Proposals, Quotations, Bids, and Tender Responses, which are both technically and commercially aligned with the clients specifications.
The role requires strong skill sets and talents in a diverse array of areas, including ability to read and understand customer specifications, and how to position the Medium Voltage product to win business.

Responsibilities:
Timely preparation of detailed engineering Proposals and Sales related documents for the Medium Voltage Drives Product Line and Applications.
Proposals may include additional items based on customer Specifications and Project Requirements. These items could consist of Digitalization topics, Customer Services, and may require communicating with outside vendors for Auxiliary Equipment.
Take a lead role in Bid Preparation, Bid Review, Bid Clarification, Negotiations, and Sales Handover Meetings.
Act as a single point of contact and provide Market presence and support for Customers, Outside Sales, our Representative Channel, Solution Partners, and Affiliates.
Accurately interpret clients technical specification by producing technical proposals and offering more suitable alternatives and solutions where appropriate.
Accurately interpret clients commercial requirements and ensure any commercial or contractual risks to the company are identified and mitigated.
Ensure Proposals pricing and estimating are in line with the companys agreed strategies.
Additional support may include performing Client Presentations to articulate the value proposition of products by writing high quality Technical, Commercial documents, and Reports.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
5+ years experience in business for Medium Voltage Drives is highly desirable.
B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
Demonstrates extensive knowledge in the field of specialization or multiple disciplines useful to the successful completion of complex assignments. Successfully serves as a source of technical / scientific knowledge for area of expertise.
Excellent oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a high paced quick response environment, focusing on the details while maintaining overall project success.
Strong work ethic and committed to do what it takes to get the job done.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.
Experience and strong skill set in the use of tools for Proposal development including Microsoft Office. Experience with SalesForce is desirable.
Ability to travel 5% of the time.
