Due to the recent growth in our custodial business, Principal is seeking Securities Operations Specialists on our Custody Operations team.

If considered at the Securities Operations Specialist level, youu2019ll...

Perform a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require extensive knowledge of unit functions and systems including:

n

* differentiating, processing and reconciling transactionsn
* researching inquiresn
* resolving customer complaintsn
* reviewing time sensitive and/or complex documentsn
* creating or revising departmental proceduresnn

n

If considered at the Sr. Securities Operations Specialist level, youu2019llu2026

nn
* act as the primary resource for critical production or escalation issuesn
* plan, coordinate, distribute, and monitor daily securities or cash related production workn
* supervise daily production activities and/or staff, while acting as lead processor for the teamu2019s functionsn
* provide management level reporting including service quality, volume tracking, and/or staff performancen
* provide back-up for all department functionsn
* lead and/or participate in production improvement efforts and addresses procedural impactsn
* provide training, coaching, feedback, and work direction to new and existing staffn
* address scheduling issuesn
* lead small to medium sized projects or parts of larger projectsn
* help address compliance and corporate governance issues for the departmentnn

Qualificationsnn
* High School Diploma or equivalentn
* 3+ years of experience in customer service, operations, financial services or business processingn
* Sweep Money Market processing and/or Derivatives experience is requiredn
* Experience with industry tools such as SEI T3000 and DTCC is preferredn
* Strong attention to detail and accuracyn
* Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsn
* Effective organizational, multi-tasking skillsn
* Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgementn
* Ability to comprehend moderate to complex operational processes and their interrelationshipn
* Team player with strong interpersonal skills and adaptabilityn
* Self-starter with ability to follow request through resolutionnn
