Job Description

Prepares, reviews, and customizes curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides in support of traditional classroom teaching, course revisions and curriculum maintenance.

Develops, updates, and revises test questions, banks, progress checks, course schedules, instructor guides, and student guides.

Supports the Learning Standards Officer and Curriculum Manager in formal course reviews and curriculum updates; conducts training gap analysis, provides formal feedback and recommendation for continuous improvement.

Tests, maintains; and delivers moderately complex Navy Combat Systems Navigation and Engineering training programs and related materials in support of CSCS training objectives.

Develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.

Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Develops solutions for training programs of limited scope.

Assists in the design of instructional methods and materials.

Assist with training and design solutions to assist with program management curricula/programs.

Assists with the development of measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant training and technology as assigned.

Preferred Experience

Courseware development experience with AIMII or CPM/LOM. Experience with USN training product standards and ISD process. Prior experience on a contractor courseware development team for DOD products. USN Master Training Specialist (MTS) or Instructor.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications:

Three years of experience in designing and developing adult technical training.

Of the three years, one year of experience as an instructor/trainer/evaluator in a Navy Training Environment; to include curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, and evaluating instructional materials.
