Our Insight Cloud+Data Center Transformation team is searching for an experienced, passionate and professional Sr. Software Engineer/ Modern Applications to join our team.
At the heart of every great technology solution is great management, always making sure that the project delivers what it set out to do and matches expectations.
This is primarily a Architect I role, with some technical delivery and oversight at an Architect level. In this role you will lead a team of highly skilled network consultants across multiple projects, responsible for teammate leadership, growth and mentoring, sales and pre-sales support for various client and account teams, as well as direct technical delivery of various networking projects. You will interface directly with clients, account and delivery teams, review and approve scopes of work, drive quality of delivery and strong customer satisfaction, and provide governance to business you are responsible for. There will be some delivery and/or Quality assurance oversight of delivery at an Architect level in this role. However, the goal is as the business grows this will become a 100% leadership role with a career path that is leadership focused.
* The technical aspect of this role will require you to be a Subject Matter Expert on diverse and challenging projects for multiple customers. You will be responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of core network solutions; route/switch, security (ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Splunk, FTD, Stealth watch etc) , Wireless/RF (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki), Micro segmentation (ISE/Clearpass), SD-WAN, Data Center SDA (ACI/NSX). Candidates should be Architect level in at least one of these areas with general understanding of multiple.
What youll do at Insight:
* Serve as the subject matter expert for Networking, Data Center and Security solutions in your respective areas of expertise
* Participate in the specification of customer requirements and implementation plans.
* Manage the planning, implementation and operation of customer network projects from both technical and communication aspects.
* Mentor other resources.
* Assist sales team in identifying, scoping and closing opportunities through customer meetings and presentations.
* Working with sales leaders to manage pipeline, support sales efforts, and evangelize our solutions within the various sale channels within Insight
* Participate in teams an efforts to manage and improve the business
* Drive team participation, Insight Culture and Values
* Financial tracking for business you are responsible for
What youll need to join Insight:
* 12+ years implementing and troubleshooting Core network infrastructure, Data Center, and Security technologies.
* Experience leading a technical team. Strong preference to those who have lead teams in a consulting or professional services business.
* Desire to learn and grow
* Strong desire to aid teammates in their success
* Strong desire to deliver quality solutions and customer outcomes
* Bachelors degree in a technical or business discipline or demonstrated performance in a technical work environment.
* Ability to effectively communicate, present and articulate strategies across various audiences; sales, marketing, partners, clients, consultants, executive leaders (internal and external).
* Growth in technical skills through certifications (CCNP/CCDP/JNCIP/CCIE) or other similar achievements is desired.
