Responsibilities

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. We are now seeking candidates for our per-diem position. Hour will vary depending upon the needs of the dietary department.

The overall functions of the Dining Assistant position are to assist with the dining room set up to ensure the readiness for meals and to serve regular and special diets to patients and employees under the supervision of the Dietary Manager.

Dining Assistant Job Duties:

* Assist with the set-up of the serving line for all meals;
* Putting Daily Deliveries away in proper location;
* Cleaning of the dining room, including sweeping the floor and sanitizing the tables;
* Ensure dining room is ready for serving meals

Qualifications

Dining Asisstant Requirements:

* High School graduate or equivalency required. Trade or vocational training preferred.
* One (1) year experience in a health care facility-preferred. Food handler permit preferred.
* Must be familiar with inventorying, cooking by recipes, quantity cooking and following written procedures. Food handling and sanitation.
* Physical agility to manage kitchen equipment. Push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in > 50 degree temperatures (walk-in refrigerator/freezer). Extensive standing and walking. Intermittent sitting, bending stooping, reaching, grabbing, holding, crouching, and climbing. Stands and walks most of the day Tastes and smells food to determine quality.
