Overview
Reading Hospital Child Development Center is a childcare facility established to serve the children of employees of Reading Hospital- Tower Health as well as children from nearby communities. The center provides quality childcare and educational activities that help children reach their fullest potential. The Child Development Center offers a rich, stimulating and nurturing atmosphere suitable for children's growth as well as physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills development. We are currently searching for a passionate and motivated individual ready to bring in new ideas and help our children grow and succeed.
Responsibilities
The Teacher creates and maintains an environment conducive to the positive development of children. Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Creating weekly lesson plans
* Carrying out lesson plans
* Serving meals and snacks
* Daily art/reading/music activities
* Supervising outdoor play
* Introducing new concepts such as pre-reading and pre- writing skills
* Written evaluations
* Sharing daily evaluations with parents and conducting parent-meetings as requested
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma or GED, 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field; and one year of experience related to the care and development of children; or
* High School Diploma or GED and two years work experience related to the care and development of children
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Excellent Communications Skills
