POSITION SUMMARY
* Support the strategic direction as well as effectively plan and execute executive compensation programs in support of Thermo Fisher Scientific2019s goal to be the one of the world2019s most admired companies. Support in development of compelling executive offers, including 2018C2019 suite and ensure programs drive retention and support Thermo Fisher2019s pay for performance culture
* Support VP, Executive Compensation; operationalize best in class, strategic practices including benchmarking, LTI design and programs and systems to drive world class planning, processing, data analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* As a senior member of Thermo Fisher2019s HR leadership team, the successful candidate will partner with global executives in all businesses and functions to provide impactful and efficient, executive programs, plans and infrastructure. Set and deploy strategy for the centers of excellence. Provide Role Model Leadership in the management of team performance and provide mentoring and guidance to all members of the HR team.
* Support Thermo Fisher2019s M&A strategy. Ensure successful short and long term integration of Thermo Fisher and newly acquired organizations, provide key thought leadership from diligence to deal closure.
* Collaborate with the Global Compensation, Global Benefits, HR Operations & Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and HR field leadership teams to ensure total rewards programs support leadership development and management succession plans.
* Play a critical role as part of the Workday HR system; partner closely with IT leaders, Payroll and external vendors to ensure successful multi-year global deployment.
* Assist in developing materials for the Compensation Committee and demonstrated strong support for the CEO and senior leadership team.
* Ensure availability of competitive, cost effective, innovative programs. Develop and implement processes and procedures that ensure timely, efficient, and accurate reporting of related information for use by our Corporate Leadership Team, CEO and Board of Directors.
* Deep knowledge executive pay and offer processes and management.
* Ability to effectively manage across geographies, sensitivity to cultural and diverse backgrounds and always leading by example utilizing Thermo Fisher2019s 20184i Values2019.
Qualifications:
* The selected candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years in executive compensation and leadership roles showing progressive responsibility.
* Candidate must have deep compensation experience.
* Deep subject matter expertise in Long Term Incentives and relevant accounting/governance.
* He/She will have a background in building and transforming teams and strategies on a global scale and a keen eye for Talent.
* Top tier analytical and consultation skills with advanced understanding of executive compensation programs along with related accounting and regulatory requirements.
* Ability to credibly interface with the executive level of the Corporation and/or Board of Director members.
* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, global matrixed environment with multiple priorities that requires strong project management and decision-making capabilities.
* Bachelor2019s degree required; a graduate degree in Business Administration or similar discipline is highly preferred.
