Position Summary

In this challenging and dynamic role, you will manage regulatory and audit requests and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Customer Experience team.

Organizational Structure

This position will report to the Head of Customer Experience, Closed Block Service Center (CBSC) and will manage a team of Business Analysts. CBSC is a business unit of AIG Life and Retirement responsible for the administration of more than half of AIGs in-force insurance portfolio. This position is within the Operations team.

Performance Objectives

* Support the successful management and fulfillment of regulatory and audit requests services for a life and annuity administrator responsible for ~4.5 million contracts.
* Liaise with legal, regulatory, operations and IT on audit and exam responses and business requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Manage departmental reporting and prepare professional decks for SLT
* Develop plan and manage corrective action and control projects
* Identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance controls environment and improve customer experience
* Uphold and reinforce a culture of risk and compliance

Performance Objectives

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in insurance operations with a focus on audits and/or customer experience. The individual is skilled in process design, project management and has proven abilities in problem solving. Bring your skills and varied background to this exciting team!

* BA/BS degree required/MBA Preferred
* Expert in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical & reporting skills
* Excellent project management skills with a strong attention to details
* Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and inter-personal skills
* Accountable, dependable and motivated
* Adept at multi-tasking and ability to work under tight (and, at times, competing) deadlines
* People management experience
* Ability to work under a team environment and provide team support
* Highly detail oriented with the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment with shifting deadlines and priorities
* Compliance, regulatory exam and audit experience
* Continuous improvement mindset and experience with process improvement
* Knowledge of Life & Annuity products/systems a plus
