The Pharmacy Tech II is responsible for educating members on medication as related to prescriptions; advising members of available resources and assistance programs; interpreting moderately complex prescriptions.

Enters and validates information on member prescriptions and reviews member prescriptions in claims system.
Place outbound and receive inbound calls to consult and educate members on Medication Therapy Awareness.
Compile and document accurate outreach to members.
Verifies member information and inputs data for the pharmacists.
Educates members on pharmacy based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs.
The Pharmacy Technician employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills through the utilization of the pharmacy process to assist members in achieving and maintaining maximum health potential.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited Institution.
Requires an active, professional license, if required by state law, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States.
Current, unrestricted state Pharmacy Technician License and National Certification issued by PTCB strongly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Requires strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
Prior call center experience strongly preferred.

*Hours: Nights and weekends are required. Shifts start from 8:30am-8:30pm EST and Saturdays rotations as well.

Qualifications
