Sr Analyst, Multicultural Partnership Marketing
American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated to helping businesses thrive. Within GCS, the Partner Marketing team develops and nurtures relationships with a diverse set of partners to reach small businesses with relevant financing solutions.
The Sr Analyst for Financial Inclusion Marketing will lead the planning and delivery of marketing strategies to promote a newly formed initiative. This is a unique opportunity to join a team focused on providing black and minority-owned businesses increased access to funding. This initiative is a key pillar of an American Express multi-year commitment to support black-owned businesses to do more business by offering funding, giving resources, and fueling spend. The Sr Analyst will partner closely with Product Management, Marketing Strategy, Legal, Compliance and others to shape innovative marketing strategies to grow the program. Strong candidates will be collaborative, process-oriented, and resourceful marketers, with a passion for supporting underserved small businesses.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of cutting-edge referral marketing across multiple channels, including creative testing
* Partner with Product, Marketing Strategy, Legal, Compliance, external partner and other stakeholders on successful launch of MVP program
* Work with Manager and Director to develop referral marketing strategy, and create annual roadmap of initiatives to drive program awareness and referrals
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify innovative marketing strategies to increase access to financing among Black and minority owned businesses
* Create impactful and relevant marketing creatives in partnership with creative agency and digital media teams
* Partner with Legal, Compliance, and other reviewers to ensure marketing creatives and campaigns adhere to relevant regulations and brand guidelines
* Lead Marketing Operations resource to ensure flawless execution
* Support campaign execution where needed to ensure flawless and on-time launches and delivery against program goals
* Ad-hoc support for program evolution opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
* Highly organized with strong program management skills, including comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Collaborator and thought leader who can successfully build relationships across the team and with diverse stakeholder groups to get things done
* Process oriented, with a commitment to getting the details right
* Marketing experience in digital and/or direct channels with knowledge of AXP marketing processes a plus
* Natural problem solver with comfort navigating new and complex processes
* Effective written and verbal and written communicator with the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders
* Ability to connect data to relevant insights and actions
* Enthusiastic and curious
* Proficient in PowerPoint and working knowledge of Excel
* Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
* Experience in B2B marketing, referral marketing, or Community Development Financial Institutions a plus
