Are you a hands-on, self-motivated, talented, and experienced Electrical Design Engineer who understands the importance of engineering excellence to product development success?

In this role youll be designing, building, and testing analog and digital circuitry for complex, industrial electro-mechanical equipment.

Youll have the opportunity to to impact design while working with a global team of talented engineers in an Agile work environment.

You should possess at minimum, a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5-10 years experience.

Principal Activities/Duties/Responsibilities:

Drive quality and efficiency within the Electrical Engineering Team by setting an outstanding example of high quality design, implementation, and validation in your individual work.

Research, champion, facilitate and improve best practices and tools to increase team efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.

Interface with other engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to understand the application space and business requirements.

Lead and facilitate high-level electrical estimation to support business planning activities.

Lead and mentor design reviews and drive improvements in design quality.

Act as a liaison between cross-functional, multi-site teams.

Use outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to lead and create efficient interfaces with third party engineering partners.

Required Skills:

Digital, embedded CPU, basic analog and interface board design.

Peripherals, schematics, system- and board-level power and grounding techniques.

DFM/DFT, DVT, oscilloscopes/logic analyzers and data acquisition tools.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Demonstrate, from conception and development to market, 2+ products via a product development process.

Preferred Skills:

Altium, VHDL, root-cause analysis, Agile/SAFe 4.0 development.

Linux, embedded, machine code, and C/C++ knowledge is a plus.

Knowledge of ARM processors.

Knowledge of sensors, actuators, PID control theory, signal processing, and interfaces with real world inputs.

Markem-Imaje Watertown, MA, is an exciting expansion demonstrating our commitment to be the innovation leader in digital printing. This new, state-of-the-art, Global Design Center will be the hub for New Product Introduction of Laser- and DOD-based products. The office is situated close to Boston with easy access by car or public transportation.
