Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:
Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) has an excellent opportunity within the Estimating Organization for a Proposal Analyst. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to become an active member of the team responsible for monitoring, preparation, and support of cost proposals. This position will primarily support the proposal activity for Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) programs in Goleta, CA. In this position the successful candidate will:
Work closely with various departments to ensure that the proper scope and pricing ground rules are established and followed.
* Prepare costing data for both labor and material inputs.
* Research and analyze historical data and ensure that current actual data is used in preparation of proposals and are supportable during negotiations.
* Prepare Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for Cost Volume submittals and the preparation of Gate Packages.
* Possibly participate in cost and pricing reviews with Operations Leadership, audits with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) / Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and negotiations with the Customer, as required.
* Have opportunity to progress to larger and more complex proposals.
Security Clearance & Other Requirements:
* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Requirements:
* Strong Analytical, problem solving and math skills.
* Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel ( Macros, formulas, V-Lookup, H-Lookup)
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
* Ability to interact and contribute is a highly collaborative, team oriented environment
* Ability to interface well with inside and outside customers as well as Senior Management.
Desired Requirements:
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Knowledge or experience of Defense or Aerospace industry
* Knowledge of Government Acquisition regulations such as: FAR, DFARS, CAS, TINA
* Knowledge or experience of Government Cost Proposals
Required Education:
* Must have a BS / BA in Finance / Business Administration / Economics / Math-Econ or Statistics other related field by December 2020.
