Position Specific Description

In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience through stimulating security projects and learn from industry experts in an advanced threat protection landscape. You will join a top-notch team focused on battling the villains of the virtual world. The NextEra Cyber group is looking for cyber warriors to join us as we revolutionize cybersecurity infrastructure. Youll learn how to drive fast and effective cyber threat intelligence, hunting, and engagement execution utilizing the most sophisticated security technologies available in the world.

What youll do

* Analyze and report on threats and malicious activity in client environments
* Leverage our proprietary systems to develop and publish threat engagement reports
* Develop comprehensive and accurate presentations for both technical and executive audiences
* Provides timely and actionable sanitized intelligence to cyber incident response professionals.
* Leverages technical knowledge of computer systems and networks with cyber threat information to assess the client's security posture.
* Conducts intelligence analysis to emulate intrusion signatures, tactics, techniques and procedures associated with preparation for and execution of cyber-attacks.
* Researches hackers, hacker techniques, vulnerabilities, exploits, and provides detailed briefings and intelligence reports to leadership.
* Participate in the development and execution of red team/penetration testing engagements
* Develop custom malicious software for engagement demonstrations

* Passion for security, learning, and knowledge sharing
* Bachelors degree or relevant experience in IT, Computer Science or Cybersecurity
* Demonstrable knowledge of network protocols and applicable programming languages (python, java, OOP, etc.)
* Basic knowledge of risk management frameworks, techniques, and procedures

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelors degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

* Assists department with assigned projects
* Completes challenging projects and assignments
* Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
* Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

* High school grad / GED
* Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
* Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
