Job Description

PPG Industries is hiring a Customer Service Representative for the Architectural Coatings Store Replenishment team! As the Customer Service Representative AC Store Replenishment, you will be responsible for timely and accurate input of customer orders via phone, fax and email servicing 8500+ PPG company-owned stores in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico according to established policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Spend a minimum of 80% of available time interacting with customers and entering orders.

Ensure a continuing flow of information to internal/external customers as well as business owners on all transactional related aspects including availability, order delivery and invoicing.

Increase distribution efficiency by taking a pro-active sales initiative and determining creative solutions to support the stocking strategy.

Interface with sales personnel to ensure that customer orders are shipped and service level objectives are met or exceeded.

Participate as a member of a self-directed work team in developing team goals that enhance service and look for ways to reduce cycle time.

Ensure proper approval and accuracy on all requests prior to executing transactions in the system.

Qualifications:

While a B.S./B.A. is a plus, some education in marketing, accounting and computer science is desirable, applicable experience and/or associates degree is required.

Up to 3 years of experience in a customer service function is preferred.

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills are essential in helping interact with different levels of the business as well as with external customers.

Personal computing literacy is essential.

Basic skills assessment testing is required!

Bi-Lingual speaking skills such as French would be an extreme plus+
