Project Engineer I
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer within our Interventional Cardiology Project Management organization with focus on supporting new product development and commercial execution projects. In this role you will be a key team member in developing, delivering, and sustaining life-changing medical devices to patients and clinicians in support of BSCs mission.
About this role:
As a Project Engineer you will be the lead of a product, process or technology project utilizing a cross-functional team and following BSC product development and product life cycle processes. The scope of projects may include activities from initial product development to the end of product life across business units and manufacturing sites. Additionally, you will work collaboratively across various functions, BSC sites and regions to develop the individual project strategies and tactical plans to deliver results on time and in budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, coordinate and effectively lead project teams, both independently and as part of a project management team, to ensure timely completion of the project or task.
* Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules to assist with task prioritization and workload adjustments.
* Implement project plans, build team ownership and commitment to project plan and identify, manage and communicate project risks.
* Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to drive execution of project deliverables and minimize risk.
* Document project meeting minutes, issues log, decision log, metrics, and other key communications.
* Manage individual project challenges and recommend solutions to address them.
* Ensure current BSC policies and practices are followed and accurate documentation requirements are followed.
* Identify resources required for project activities, develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines.
* Collaborate with a variety of functions, regions, and business resources to achieve project objectives.
* Interact with senior personnel on complex matters requiring coordination between organizations.
What we're looking for in you
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelors degree required, preferably in Engineering, Project Management, or Business completed by June 2021
* Availability to start June 2021 or sooner
* Experience working within teams to achieve project goals
* Ability to manage project scope, schedule and budget, and ability to balance multiple priorities
* Strong cross-functional communication, team building, planning and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in the medical products industry a plus.
* PMP certification beneficial but not required
* Willingness to travel up to 10% (post COVID-19)
