To plan, manage and lead operations to ensure high levels of service in providing Trade Solutions services. Provides leadership and direction promoting the people-service-profit philosophy as well as encouraging the growth and development of team members. Manages all other necessary activities, which provide optimum service to customers.
* Leads and directs the response to customer requests for services, including providing pricing, calculating associated costs, and reaching customer agreement with standards of work.
* Responsible for the execution of company and organization strategy provided by leadership in areas of responsibility.
* Establishes team and individual goals on quality and productivity.
* Provides support for and participates in the design, development, implementation, and follow-up of projects related to customer service (internal and external) and support.
* Responsible for the hiring, training, motivating and development of team members.
* Implements effective business tactics and strategies to ensure the operations produce quality services to customers and deliver on the Purple Promise.
* Maintain contact with customers (internal and external) and make appropriate adjustments to team member work and update customer agreements with regards to conditions affecting the service level agreement.
* Satisfy emerging customers and market needs by promoting and implementing new Trade Solution services.
* Participates in sales opportunities related to products of Trade Solutions, including the presenting of Trade Solutions products and drafting customer proposals.
* Work with sales, leadership and legal to prepare and negotiate contracts with clients including pricing, deliverables and scheduling.
* Encourage team members to participate in company-wide initiatives to support the PSP Philosophy People Service Profit.
* Develops and delivers Trade Solutions product presentations, as well as marketing materials and support to highlight service offerings.
* Travels as required to customer and company locations, on an as needed basis.
* Ensures cost effectiveness of operations through established control of equipment, utilities, supplies, overtime hours, and a timely quality output to avoid monetary penalties and/or customer dissatisfaction.
* Conducts meetings to provide employees with information regarding division/operation; applies consistent administration of disciplinary procedures
* Maintains accurately all required reports, paperwork, payroll, vacation schedules, performance reviews and personnel record statistics through established company policy guidelines.
* Minimize potential liabilities to our customers and FedEx Trade Networks by ensuring that all financial and regulatory activities are performed within time constraints.
* Identifies training requirements and trains, coaches, and counsels team members.
* Performs other or additional duties as assigned
4-Year degree preferred / equivalent in business experience. A minimum of five (5) years of in the field/ industry required. A minimum of three (3) years in a leadership role required. Current Customs Brokers License required. Knowledge of Duty Drawback, Reconciliation, Post Summary Claims, and general trade consulting required. Ability to travel as required. Strong knowledge of MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel) required. Strong presentation skills. Strong basic management, human relations and communication (written and verbal) skills. Organizational Skills. Inter-personal skills. Problem solving Skills. Ability to handle high volume, time sensitive work. Detail oriented.
