Job Description

Adjusters are responsible for answering questions via the phone and adjudicate claims for GAP waivers based on contract coverage. Responsible for answering calls from consumers, agents, car dealerships, and lenders to verify the completion and validity of claim forms.

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

* Review company records to determine coverage and identify coverage issues related to various claims, applying a thorough understanding of applicable contracts relevant to the loss types.

* Establish contact and maintain effective professional relationships with customers, agents, underwriters, primary insurance and others involved in the claims process.

* Obtain and prepare all necessary documentation associated with the loss to facilitate the prompt, accurate resolution of claims filed.

* Determines claims direction, calculates the amount of the claim, and submits for claim payment within the adjusters authorization limit.

* Document all information received and correspondence in a database system.

* Reviews GAP pending claims list and follows up on pending claims daily.

Basic Qualifications Required - Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

* High school Diploma required

* P&C license required or 2+ years GAP claims experience plus ability to obtain P&C license within 60 days of employment.

Other Requirements:

* Excellent customer service and telephone skills required.

* Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

* Attention to detail and accuracy; effective time management and organization skills.

* Must have professional oral and written communication skills.

Preferred requirements:

* Associates degree.

* 2-4 years GAP or personal auto claims adjuster experience.

* Bilingual Spanish.

Must be able to work an 8 hour schedule from Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am to 6pm CT.
