Fixed Assets Accounting Assistant
Job Purpose:
The fixed assets accounting assistant is responsible for reviewing and approving capital expenditures for accuracy and completeness according to company policy and GAAP. This position is also expected to complete all fixed asset transactional work including capitalization, asset transfers, and retirements; in which all involve thorough communication with the plant or project contacts.
Nature of Duties:
* Accountable for preparing journal entries, maintaining individual fixed asset roll forward's and reconciling individual balance sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP and company policy
* Possess the ability to multi task in order to keep up with the demand driven by CAPEX and deadlines
* Be a team player
* Be able to customize pace
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree is a plus, preferably in accounting/finance
* Any corporate accounting experience is a plus, especially in a large global manufacturing environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel, word, etc)
* Familiar with and understands GAAP
