Trailhead Academy provides learners an opportunity to learn straight from Salesforce experts in the classroom, at events, on demand, and everywhere in between. What were looking for: You are an expert curriculum developer and writer with experience creating engaging and effective learning. You have created and successfully managed complex learning programs to meet business needs. You thrive on quickly learning new products and technologies with minimal direction, and have an interest in translating that knowledge into innovative learning. You have proven expertise in identifying the right style and level of content for various audiences and have a track record of creating compelling, innovative and comprehensive hands-on self-study or expert-led learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
* Bring a deep understanding of our learners, and be able to put yourself in the mind of the learner to create incredible, fun, aspirational, relevant curriculum and learning programs;
* Develop curriculum and learning programs and from the ground up, working closely and providing guidance and leadership to other team members, product managers, internal stakeholders (leadership, training delivery, product, etc), and external subject matter experts in the process;
* Produce quality learning curriculum including but not limited to: presentation slides, instructor guides, job aids, lab instructions, assessment and credential questions, videos, self-paced assignments, and course descriptions using the Trailhead Academy standard development process and templates;
* Manage net new or existing learning programs and curriculum development from start to finish, from the initial outline to the finished product, through rounds of edits and revisions;
* Manage development projects and act as a liaison with third party vendors;
* Anticipate and understand changing product, audience and business drivers and adapt to meet those needs;
* Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on the Salesforce platform;
* Ensure learning is fun and engaging.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Has 5-7 years of experience as a curriculum developer, content creator, or writer or in a professional capacity, with samples to show it;
* Strong communication skills with experience presenting to an executive audience;
* Knowledge of adult learning theory and application of theory to learning deliverables;
* Has experience creating learning curriculum and owning learning programs that makes challenging, complex ideas, concepts, and tasks understandable and appealing to a variety of audiences;
* Has the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment;
* Knows how to balance high standards for quality with the need to get to market fast;
* Ability to travel up to 15% domestically to support learning programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Has completed at least a badge or two in Trailhead and is eager to earn more;
* Hands-on experience using, administering, or developing with Salesforce preferred;
* Experience with creating video production and creating video-based learning a plus;
* Experience with training delivery a plus;
* Experience with Agile methodologies and principles.
