Job Accountabilities

Crown CAPP is seeking an experienced Electrician. This position will trouble-shoot, repair, replace, maintain and install electrical/electronic systems for production related equipment and building utilities within this high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility.

Day to day responsibilities will include the following:

* Troubleshoot basic ladder logic to include coils, contacts, timers, counters, subtract blocks, add blocks, compare function blocks, and multiplication and divide blocks.
* Receive wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications and instructions covering scheduled and emergency repair, installation and inspection of work to be done.
* Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on all plant electrical equipment. Wire new equipment and rework wiring on production equipment when needed.
* Perform preventive maintenance inspections on production equipment as needed and assigned; assist in developing related PMs that do not currently exist
* Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principles, wiring specifications, codes, properties of various materials and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
* Analyze all types of circuits, wiring diagrams, networks and drawings as required to install repair, adjust, calibrate, construct, modify, replace or service all types of electronic devices and systems, including communication systems, power and distribution control equipment, measuring, recording, processing and indicating devices.
* Be knowledgeable of and conform to the requirements of NFPA70E, Arc Flash.
* Communicate with all levels of the operation in regards to electrical requirements
* Other duties as required by supervision.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have 5 plus years of experience as a maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environment and possess the following skills and knowledge:

* Industrial electrician with electronic electrician level experience in a high speed manufacturing environment. Some formal education preferred.
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Electrical, electronic, pneumatic & mechanical knowledge, comprehension, and skills
* AC/DC control circuits
* 120/ 240 VAC and 440 VAC single and three phase power circuits
* Variable frequency drives and DC drives
* Understands ladder logic
* Use of hand tools, Multi-meters Analog & Digital, ammeters, amp probes etc.
* Work from manuals, prints, schematics; basic skills in math & reading
* Good communication skills, basic computer skills
* Planning and organizing skills
* Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) - Allen Bradley PLC 5, SLC 500.
* Knowledge Human Machine Interfaces (TCP) or Allen Bradley Panel View Plus (a Plus)
* Experience with proximity and photo sensors
* Must be able to comprehend and comply with all OSHA and company safety and electrical regulations including Lock Out / Tag Out, and Arc Flash protection

Physical requirements:

* Work from ladders, lifts, catwalks above floor level (4-10 feet); occasionally at ceiling height (20 feet +)
* Frequent standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, squatting, & reaching above shoulder level
* Pushing, pulling, and lifting requirements: frequent to 25 lbs; occasionally heavier.
* Good Color vision
* Exposure to high levels of noise (hearing protection required in plant area)
