Our location in Westbrook, ME currently has an opportunity for a Security Manager. This role directs, develops, implements, and maintains the security program at the facility. The Security Manager develops programs to safeguard ARDxs critical infrastructure, equipment, processes, products, people, and confidential information, and ensures the workforce complies with the organizations security policies and procedures. He/she assists the ARDx Security Team and Global Security Division in the creation of asset protection strategies and assists ARDx and Facility leadership in implementing programs designed to provide security support for the facilitys Quality Systems.

WHAT YOULL DO

* Oversees the implementation of the facilities security risk mitigation policies, procedures, and programs.
* Proactively develops, recommends and implements risk mitigation strategies focused on safeguarding tangible and intangible assets, brand, facilities, supply chain, customers, stakeholders and workforce.
* Conducts and coordinates (with Global Security and other stakeholders) risk mitigation efforts aimed at reducing the risk from theft, counterfeit, diversion, threats, employee misconduct/malicious acts, and the misappropriation of Intellectual Property.
* Partner with Global Security, internal stakeholders and external partners, to identify opportunities to add value and raise awareness of security risks.
* Provide subject matter expertise to ARDx business leaders and incorporate services and ideas which provide risk mitigation.
* Partner with the Global Securitys ARDx Business Support Team/Senior Program Manager to use available Physical Security, Supply Chain Security, Investigative, and Business Continuity subject matter expertise to develop solutions and ensure comprehensive risk reduction for the facility.
* Deliver verbal and written briefings to internal partners and key leaders regarding identified issues and findings relating to each initiative.
* Work directly with security systems integrators, IT staff, guard force vendors, operations, HR and logistics personnel to ensure that a holistic facility security program is properly developed, rapidly implemented and audited for sustained effectiveness.
* Monitors ARDxs compliance with Abbott security policies and procedures.
* Assists in the development of a security budget at ARDx facilities to meet organizational goals.
* Forecasts future security needs including human and material resources and capital expenditures.
* Creates immediate to long-range plans and makes decisions regarding work processes and schedules to achieve the program objectives established by senior management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRING

Required

* Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required.
* Demonstrates strong and effective leadership skills and the ability to operate comfortably within a complex cultural and global environment.
* Strong background in security systems, supply chain security, intellectual property protection, vulnerability assessment, and/or risk mitigation preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external clients at all levels.
* 6+ years total experience in security which includes corporate, private contractor, military, law enforcement, or government service. Experience conducting audits in related areas (e.g., quality, regulatory) may be considered.
* At this level, the successful candidate should possess almost all of the required skill set to begin making an immediate, positive contribution to the business.
* Expert oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information accurately, clearly, and quickly to all levels.
* Excellent project management skills.
* Strong technical aptitude; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to positively influence teams.
* Demonstrated track record of successful risk mitigation, investigative, and/or security leadership preferably within the health care industry.
* Demonstrated experience preferred in designing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies for safeguarding personnel, information, and/or assets.
* Cybersecurity certification and/or work experience a plus.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive and/or complex investigations and incidents.
* A strong sense of integrity with the ability to handle projects of a sensitive and confidential nature.
* Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues and integrate these into successful solutions.
* Results-oriented with the ability to identify the long-term effects of decisions /solutions on customers and the business.
