Job Description

As a senior accounting financial reporting specialist, you’ll be responsible for reviewing high complexity Statutory, GAAP, and SEC financial reporting including reviews related to journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and analytics to support the Financial Reporting close. You will work closely with control groups within Corporate Finance while you identify and summarize accounting matters and partner with business units to research and address accounting questions. You will be responsible for monitoring accounting changes, researching and ensuring compliance, and updating accounting and reporting policies and procedures. You will train, direct workflow and review work.


Must have qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study (e.g. Finance)
Four years of related accounting experience (minimum two years in corporate or public accounting)

Preferred skills

Strong technical accounting knowledge  
Strong communication skills, along with strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Ability to identify and communicate accounting & financial reporting issues to management
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Intermediate query language skills (SAS, MBI, People Soft general ledger queries) and working knowledge of systems used for accounting and financial reporting
Ability to work in a team environment and assume a team leadership role if needed
