We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Autonomous Lead Product Development Engineer in our Troy, MI location (no relocation offered).
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and partner with internal and external groups for Map databases and analytics tools
Define and develop details of map data processing, preprocessing needs, testing, and quality control methods for Aptiv autonomous driving products
Develop the requirements for content and sizing of new global analytics and data centers for Aptiv.
Collaborate with Aptiv engineering teams from across the globe to ensure proper resources and tools are developed
Willing to jump into additional roles in product development and validation testing to meet objectives
Lead and help develop requirements, use cases, and associated documentation
Need to Haves (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineer
3+ years’ experience developing Map Data Design
3 + years’ experience DFMEA for software and hardware
Ability to support vehicle data analytics and use of associated tools
Understanding of OTA (over the Air) connectivity to vehicles
Experience in Bench and HIL validation efforts
Experience in developing, documenting, and support diagnostics concepts
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)
Masters in Computer Science or other STEM Field
Demonstrated critical problem resolution
Comfortable with basic computer, tools, TCP/IP & UDP networking protocols
Strong process management skills and technical writing
Strong people skills to work in global organization
